Are there any religious or charitable organizations where I can donate stuffed animals?

I’m cleaning out my stuff. Last week I donated a few hundred books to two libraries and bags of clothing to a homeless shelter for women. Now I have a couple of hundred stuffed animals, all new — most of them still have tags, some don’t but they were never used — I am too old for stuffed toys but people like to give them as gifts. What organizations would take these in the tri-state area?
Again, these are new, never used (soft, clean, some are sparkly items such as Webkinz and Shining Stars and very adorable), given to me within the last couple of years. And yes, I have a Jesus Doll but he is rubber.

    Here is my suggestion:

Ask your local hospitals, dentist offices, and doctors offices if they would like them. Many children have to go to doctor’s appointments, and getting to hold a stuffed animal while getting treatments, shots, cavities filled, etc, makes things a little less scary. When I worked with a police department we would take stuffed animals so that the police always had one in their cars, and then we would give some to the fire department and the hospital. This way when children are put into stressful situations, they have something to hang onto.

Go to or or your local hospitals or your local shelters. They all want wanted stuffed animals and brand new ones are even more appreciated

If you are meaning as in Toys then your local Children’s Hospital
If you are meaning as in stuffed animals I would suggest a decent burial may be more appropriate

If not for fact my church is way up here in Bangor , Maine,it would be pleased to assist you in finding a good home for these nice stuffed animals Check with your local schools. They often want stuffed animals for projects in conjunction with our troops.

I find it commendable you’re offering to share your possessions with others.

Why not give them to locasl orphanage in town. Many kids never get adopted, and need some pretty toys.
